Everything you want to know before your first visit

Clear, honest answers from our certified bone health coaches.

1

Is this a workout? Do I need gym clothes?

No. OsteoStrong is not a workout. You won’t sweat, strain, or need to change clothes. The experience feels calm, comfortable, and spa-like. Most members come straight from work, errands, or lunch with friends. You’ll use four specially designed devices while a certified coach guides you one-on-one. The entire session takes about 15 minutes, and you’ll leave feeling the same way you walked in — just a little more aligned.

2

Is it safe for my age or condition?

Incredibly safe. Across 65,000+ users worldwide, there have been zero adverse events reported. You don’t lift weights and you’re always in complete control — nothing moves unless you move. Every visit is appointment-based with a certified coach guiding your private, one-on-one session. Our Slow Start Protocol creates a personalized plan matched to your starting point, whether you’re dealing with osteopenia, osteoporosis, joint replacements, or simply want to stay ahead of bone loss.

How long does a session take?

About 15 minutes, once a week. That’s it. Your body responds to the osteogenic loading signal for the next 7 to 10 days, which is why once a week is all you need. Every session is guided one-on-one by a certified coach who tracks your progress, adjusts your positioning, and makes sure you feel comfortable. Most members say it’s the easiest 15 minutes of their week.

4

Can I improve bone density at my age?

Yes. Your bones are living tissue that can grow and get stronger at any age when given the right stimulus. A meta-analysis of 152 peer-reviewed studies found that osteogenic loading produced approximately 14% bone density improvement — significantly outperforming bisphosphonate drugs (~2.5%) and weight-bearing exercise (~1%). We see improvements across all age groups because bones respond when they receive the right signal. Age affects speed, not possibility.

Will this help my balance?

Balance is one of the first improvements many people feel. Your nervous system becomes more efficient and your body relearns how to stabilize itself. We test your balance every single week so you can watch your improvement in real time through your progress reports. Many members notice they feel steadier on uneven ground, more confident on stairs, and less fearful of slipping within just a few sessions.

What does it feel like?

Gentle, controlled, and surprisingly easy. Most people say ‘this is easier than I expected.’ You’ll sit or stand in a comfortable position and press into the device at your own pace. There’s no soreness, no joint strain, and no impact. Your certified coach stays with you the entire time, guiding your positioning and making sure everything feels right.

7

Do I need a DEXA scan first?

No. You can start improving right away without any medical testing. If you do have a DEXA scan, bring it in — we can help you understand your T-score (the number that matters most) in plain language. A T-score between -1.0 and -2.5 indicates osteopenia, and below -2.5 indicates osteoporosis. Either way, your bones can still respond to the right signal.

What if I have osteoporosis?

Many of our members began with osteopenia or osteoporosis. You control the force, your movements are fully supported, and nothing is ever forced. With 65,000+ users worldwide and zero adverse events, this is one of the safest ways to begin rebuilding strength and confidence. Some members have even moved from osteoporosis back to osteopenia — or out of the diagnosis entirely.

9

Will I actually get stronger? How do I know it’s working?

Yes — and you’ll see it in your weekly reports. We track your grip strength, balance, and leg strength every visit. A longitudinal study of 500 participants showed average strength gains of 73% in year one, 138% in year two, and 290% by year four. Watching your own numbers improve week after week gives you clarity, confidence, and motivation to keep going.

10

Do doctors support this?

More than 100 referring physicians in the Austin and Georgetown area send their patients to OsteoStrong because of the consistent, measurable results they see. The research behind osteogenic loading includes 152 peer-reviewed studies and has been presented at the World Congress on Osteoporosis. Members often share their weekly progress reports with their physicians, and many doctors have become members themselves.
